Welcome

Welcome to a blog dedicated to interviews between independent authors and Michael Wilson.

It can be difficult for independent authors to get themselves out there when they start off. For this reason, I have started up this blog to give them a chance to introduce people to their work.
Application information can be found at the bottom of the page.

An Interview with David A. Lloyd

This is an interview with indie-author David A. Lloyd about his eBook, Green Eyed Burn

Michael Wilson: So David, what do you think Green Eyed Burn is about?

David A. Lloyd: It's about 70,000 words. Sorry, couldn’t resist. It’s about a man and a woman who find themselves both caught up physically and emotionally with a Secret Society involved in a new high tech drug called Ink. From two different worlds they are forced to work together but the only way they will survive is for one of them to betray the other.

Michael: Wow! That sounds fascinating. So what made you publish it independently? There must be a pretty big market for a book like that.

David: It was published in print a few years ago but I was not happy with the editing work. Changes were made to make it sound more American which didn't jive with the story. Set in Canada, main characters are Canadian, etc... Going independent gives me more control over my work (however it also gives me less people to blame).

Michael: Where is Green Eyed Burn available?

David: Green Eyed Burn is available at Apple's iBook book store, Barns and Noble, Kobo, Diesel, Scrollmotion and Sony eBooks. Coming soon to Amazon.

Michael: Moving slightly away from Green Eyed Burn, as an independent author, what advice would you give another independent author just starting out?

David: What advice? Just keep at it. There is a good book in everyone you just have to keep typing away until it comes out. Write at least 5 pages a day. Don't worry if they're crap. That's what rewrites are for. Just keep at it. It'll all come together.
